ASIFA-Hollywood Video Crew
Every year ASIFA-Hollywood puts on one of a kind animation events at Comic Con. Often these
events have panels made up of top animation people. It is important to document these
events for ASIFA and the ASIFA Animation Archive.

This year we are putting together a Video Crew to tape these important events. You do not have
to be a video professional to be part of the team but you do need to be good with a video camera
and you need to have your own Mini DV video camera.

Currently we need videographers for the following programs*:
    * (dates and times have not been set by Comic Con yet and are slate is still tentative)

  1. THE CHIODO BROS. STOP MOTION ANIMATION IN THE COMPUTER AGE
  2. MAVERICKS, MAGIC AND MCGOO
  3. DRAWING THE LINE The Untold Story of the Animation Unions from Bosko to Bart Simpson
  4. STATE OF THE ANIMATION INDUSTRY
  5. THE WORST CARTOONS EVER (the non screening parts of Jerry Beck's popular show)

There is a very good chance that this list will expand and change. We will also want video crew
members to film the crowds at least 4 screenings and to take footage of the activities at the
booth during the con and during setup and breakdown.

We are looking for one tripod mounted camera and a hand held unit for each panel and at least
one hand held unit for the other events.

People volunteering for the Video Crew will be added to the presenters list for the panels that
they are filming and should get professional badges to Comic Con.

A member of the ASIFA-Hollywood Video Team must have their own video equipment (mini DV is the
standard for the shoot) They must be competent with both hand held and stationary camera. They
also must be willing to sign a work-for-hire contract since all of the footage must remain the
property of the ASIFA-Hollywood and the ASIFA Archives Project.
